Mark Savard

Executive Director, Community Nursing Registry of Ottawa (CNRO)

Mark Savard is the Executive Director of the Community Nursing Registry of Ottawa (CNRO), a not-for-profit charitable organization providing in-home nursing, footcare, palliative care, and caregiver respite services across Ottawa since 1910.

Mark’s path to community care began with thirty-four years of combined military and public service, where he developed a deep commitment to discipline, leadership, and service to others. He went on to build a successful career in the retirement industry, including oversight of a $75 million acquisition integrating independent living, assisted care, and commercial property. Throughout this work, he discovered a powerful throughline: that caring for soldiers and caring for seniors both demand compassion, dedication, and a sense of responsibility toward others.

Now leading CNRO, Mark draws on this combined background in leadership, business strategy, and community service to support the RNs, RPNs, and PSWs who deliver compassionate home health care across the Ottawa community. He is proud to contribute to a sector built on the same values that have guided his entire career.

Mark brings a strong community-based perspective and an appreciation for the collaboration required to support people with complex health and social needs. His involvement helps ensure the gala reflects the broad range of individuals and organizations contributing to care across the region.
